I've only used 2 of the free features so far. I really liked the lesson on agriculture. At the same time that it shows you what the item is, it repeats it many times and gives you time to repeat it many times. I woke up this morning thinking about these photos and was able to recall the word correctly! I did the quiz today and received 100%. I will do a few more lessons before I decide about purchasing. I want to be sure it teaches sentence structure, too.

you guys really did your thing with this one! I've looked at reviews, and used trials for at least 15 apps before I decided to subscribe to one! I chose this one, because of the detail, the videos, flashcards, diversity, I could go on forever. A huge plus is distinguishing that this is specifically Mexican spanish. Very useful since Mexico is right next door to the u.s. Bravo 👏🏽🇲🇽

What I like most about this app is that all lessons are open to you after you subscribe. Unlike other apps where you have to complete a level before you move on. This isn't level based, so you do not have to start with that beginner meeting and greeting lesson common everywhere else. You can choose your favorite topics or categories right away. And even make your own custom lesson, and most recently they have installed pronunciation analyis. Edited

Voice analysis seems to be lacking. When I tried sound out the words exactly like the instructor, I got a low score. I speak some Croatian, so I know how to roll my Rs, but the program still gave me a low score. When I intentionally sounded out the words in a monotone American accent the program gave me a high score. 🤔🤨 Edited

Hi Katherine, the voice analysis is reliable, but there are some tips that could help: Check the FAQ link in the left menu of the app and scroll down to see what do to to improve low scores. The algorithm has been in use for over 10 years, has over 300k lines of code, and is quite advanced, but low noise and good timing are key.

Was looking for an app to learn Mexican Spanish as I'm visiting Mexico soon. Duolingo only has regular Spanish which differs in pronunciation and some expressions. Have a nice format of pimsleur style 5 min audio lessons with a quiz format recap. You only get access to the daily lesson, all other features require purchase. Edited
