Very simple. I open it to get updates on the info it provides. So no pinging all the time in the background. Very simple and straight forward with a nice simple graphical display of heat index and wet bulb temps for my location and forecasts for those by the hour. Like the simplicity and the ability to expand the graphs both vertically and horizontally. I would suggest perhaps including a copy of the US Army heat card for the WBGT for viewing. Make it available if you tap on a button.

Update: Since my first review immediately following install, the app has been working well! I'm much happier with it and have found it it to be a valuable safety app! From an informational standpoint, I wish it had specific safety guidance for each flag category included in the app. Downloaded yesterday and it worked fine. Today I checked for a new Heat Safety Assessment...no response from the app. Edited

Needed a quick and reliable way to view the heat index. Unfortunately, this app does not work. Regardless of what address or city I provide, I just see "last attempt ....". No data is returned.

At the time of your review, there was an intermittent problem with the forecasts at NOAA. The problem has since been fixed, and the app is working properly again. Thank you for the feedback.

One of my 2 main, pro weather apps does refresh on weekends. I needed to compare the outside temperature. Surprisingly: this "Heat Safety" app gives both accurate heat index & wind chill. It is brief & simple; yet, very dependable. 😊 Edited

Doesn't work. Just shows a search bar and a button that says Get Heat Safety Assesment. Cust. service contacted me with instructions but still does not work after following them. Maybe it doesn't work outside the US. Edited

Yes, the app is for the United States only, and is made available on the Google Play store only to US-based users.
