UAV Forecast is the first app that I open before flying my UAS. I fly for Public Safety and it is important to have an app that I can rely on. I appreciate being able to set my own thresholds, and the red/green color coding makes it easy to see status at a glance. The Forecast screen is invaluable as a tool to help me figure out upcoming flight weather conditions. And being able to see wind conditions at different altitudes is extremely helpful. A+ customer service too.

Thank you so much for this wonderful 5-star review, Susan! We're thrilled that UAV Forecast has become your go-to app for Public Safety flights. It's fantastic to hear that the customizable thresholds, color coding, and altitude wind data are helping you make informed flight decisions. Your feedback means the world to us!

I have used this app for 4 or 5 years, consistently. I flew for MDOT and found it to be invaluable in mission planning. We paid for the premium version. I also used this as a private citizen, as both a hobbyist and for my own business. For these, I used the free version. It gave me enough info. Several months ago UAV Forecast switched to a premium paid only format. I am no longer using it in my private flying. Very disappointed. Edited

I used to use this app consistently, as well as others in my craft. As a Crane Operator, this app provides great information to help safely gauge wind speeds, both current and future. Unfortunately, the developers decided they weren't making enough money and locked everything useful behind a pay wall. I refuse to start paying for anything that was free for the longest time. Un-installed.

As a Public Safety Drone Pilot I used this app whenever we received a flight mission request. It provided all the essential data needed to decide whether we could fly or not. I am extremely disappointed that they put even essential info behind a paywall now. Their responses say they needed to make everyone pay to enhance features. A better business model would have been to keep the essential "go or no-go" data in a free version and have a paid version for extras. Uninstalling.

Notifications had to be disabled entirely, due to constant "high temperature alert" in the county, even though it's not even hot in current location (according to the app itself.) If there was a way to just enable notifications related to operating a UAV, I would give it 5 stars: The notifications were a big draw, and I feel like I've lost a lot of utility by having to disable them entirely. Sadly, the constant flood of temperature alerts is not possible to manage, so I have no choice.
