Research and experience written down, well worth the cost associated with the packages and extremely helpful to make you understand what each route requires from you, aiding you in decisions. It's nice to have them all in one place as well, previously I'd hoarded bookmarks and had to look through multiple sites to find what I needed sometimes for one trail. This work has alleviated me of that issue. I also like that you can purchase areas you need one at a time.

About halfway functional. The map to the trailhead doesn't work without an internet connection even if you've downloaded local maps through Google. One of the canyon routes on their website for Moab isn't in the app (bow and arrow). Pictures don't work without an internet connection. The gps trail map is fairly low quality and in at least one case (dragonfly) the map was offset from the real world. All in all, fairly disappointing for a pay app.

Be sure to “Check for Updates” in settings, the app has updates regularly as new descriptions are added and older ones updated. Sorry the maps didn’t work for you. The maps are USGS 7.5’ quads. Opening google maps is now supported even when offline, though won't work if google hasn't already downloaded the data. Happy road tripping!

A great app for finding canyons and hikes with great, often updated beta provided by user input. Provides GPS coordinates, turn by turn driving directions, rappel lengths, and ability levels required to negotiate the outings comfortably. Also provides "Hype" which is a great description of the beauty, challenges, and fun one can expect.

I'm a newbie canyoneer but this app by Ryan is super helpful. Very descriptive and clear. The map function is literally a lifesaver. Having a map and gps when hiking over slickrock in Escalante on a canyon exit was the only reason I made it back to the trailhead. Thanks for a fantastic app Ryan!

The app has worked out great since I can now have the maps and route beta included and use my phone to assist with navigating the area. It shows me where I'm located on the current route and it comes in handy when I'm looking for different things around the area I'm at, to see and do.
