This used to be the best files app. Now when trying to delete files, it sends them to the "Trash" instead, and makes me need to go delete them AGAIN. There's no way in settings to disable this "trash" setting, which is the infuriating part. Trash indeed. I thoroughly recommend an alternative like Solid Explorer.

Was great until they added drag and drop! Now when trying to scroll through a selection to add/subtract items, it drags them instead, and if you're over a folder when it does it, it copies everything selected to that folder taking up tons of space. And it does it so fast that I usually miss where it dragged to, and have to go digging for the copies it made, delete them, try selecting again, and have a 50% chance of dragging and dropping again. Unacceptable when I can't add storage via SD card! Edited

my files has been my go-to since the day of the S3. this is an s24 ultra and the update that Samsung pushed out has totally screwed up my files searching for a boarding pass I saved from Microsoft todo and then from Adobe Acrobat, save a copy, and I could not find the file anywhere in the phone except on the recent apps of my files by way of the download link but when I went to the download folder the file was not listed what the hell Samsung. the my file search feature cannot find the file when

The way that everything shifts and rearranges when you try to select files is awful. And then if you hold a moment too long, it picks up the files and randomly drops them somewhere. Also if you select one file and then try to select another right away by tapping, it undoes the first selection and you have to start over. Just awful selection UX.

Great Update!? Not only am I able to move my files wherever I want but apparently the app will move the files wherever they want too, in any folder they want whenever they want. Unfortunately, I found that out today, what a wonderful surprise that was, so much for having a file system and being organized. Edited
