This app is a very basic video camera It has a vu meter (a feature I am looking for), but no real controls of video and video quality, if you want to actually record video with it,you'll have to watch a commercial that doesn't even pull up on the screen, nice little toy, if you want a good cam, put in 10 bucks and but filmic pro, that what I plan on doing

Thank you for the review, however sounds like you are in the market for an video camera with various settings, SPL CAM is a sound meter camera. Hopefully you can consider changing your review as this app is meant for sound measuring with a camera, not video altering :)

Wonderful app with a small bug. I will change my rating to 5 star if you fix it. While capturing video, vertical bar with orange strips suddenly stops showing dB levels. It gets stuck at 0 dB. I am using Redmi Note 7 Pro with MIUI 12.0.1. It works fine on Samsung M31s. Otherwise, it's very useful app. It has nice UI with user friendly options. It captures everything to make a video as a proof of noise pollution at a location.

Great app, does, almost, what I need it to but there are a couple of improvements I would like to see. 1. I need to video/record so I require better night vision. If there was someway of increasing video sensitivity it would be fantastic. There are apps out there that do it, so could this be incorporated somehow? 2. It's a bit annoying that the app stops recording when screensaver comes on. If this could be overridden somehow. Definitely 5 stars if these matters were addressed!

So far so good. Would it be a feasible option to have the video automatically start recording for say x seconds if a certain decibel was hit. If this could be done whilst the screen is off , even better. Id buy it.

Simple to use app that does exactly what you expect it to. Resultant video files can be quite large, but there are methods to reduce that.
