Pretty good game so far! I was relieved to see that the newest hero "Rickie" was made obtainable with gems after her "limited time" deal was over. However, I have only TWO problems (for now). Anytime I go to the "Try" option to play any hero I DON'T have, when it's time for the first skill card selection, nothing comes up. The game remains "frozen", forcing me to "Leave" and go back to the main menu. I wish there was a quicker/easier way to get things (gems, hero tokens, etc.) besides IRL money.

Ads and more ads. You will spend over half your time in this app watching ads. Some rounds you will be given an option to watch an ad to get extra items, if you choose not to, then you will be forced to watch an ad after that for no gain. And it gets worse as you level up. The frequency and length of ads grows as you invest more time in to the game. This is by design since you have time invested, you will be more likely to stick around and sit through more ads. The gameplay is ok, at best.

was fun until the recent update changed the art style of the characters, their animations, their names and the map visuals with enemies. the pixilated art style that is shown in the preview pictures below were fine. I'm not playing this game anymore because of this. The only redemption would be if you can choose the art style you want to play with and that's a free idea for you devs. edit: they've since changed back so I have changed my rating from a 1 to a 4. They create a problem and then sell you a solution. Don't want ads? Pay a small fee. Want to get 2x speed? Once again, pay. You're gonna spend most of your time watching ads. And worst of all, you'll get to a certain point where you can't progress further no matter what equipment combination, hero level, or perks. There's also the issue if the game crashes, you lose all previous upgrades once you restart. That is by design. If you like late stage capitalism, this is the game for you.

I would've rated this higher, but in this last update, not only did they change a lot of the scheme of the game, theyre clearly trying to force you to buy the stupid upgrades like 2x speed. others may not have noticed yet, but I sure have. the levels take twice as long to clear. enemies move WAY slower now and it bogs down the game play. it used to only take around 15 minutes to clear a level, now it takes over 30! and it's not just because of ads! I may delete the game for this.
