There's a major problem with the latest update (v3.1.1 PRO) and suggest a Hot Fix. It's fails to save text and pictures, and I think it's because the app file storage access permissions aren't set up corectly on devices running Android 14. I tried contacting the developer twice, but the emails bounced back because the mailbox was full. These issues are quite annoying, as one would expect a fully functional purchased app. Edited

This OCR app is well above average. Dev is responsive. I usually tune my images up in a photo editor before using this app, although this app has some good tools as well. Minor editing of the OCR'd text is usually needed, but is impressively accurate (english), especially since processing is local (& secure). I am very satisfied.

Thanks for taking the time to write a thorough review! Yes many users gets poor result and blame the app because they don't understand that the result can only be as good as the image quality. Thanks for being one of the power users that knows what you're doing :)

I just find OCR Instantly Pro so useful and so easy to use. And it OCR's well. The one improvement I would like is to be able to OCR a set of files rather than having to do each one by one. Edited

I use this to convert screenshots of ebook pages or photos of text into searchable text. Given a decent photograph of text, it's extraordinarily accurate, often achieving one hundred percent accuracy.

I find this app excellent by any OCR standard of performance, but especially given it operates locally and quickly. Easy to use too. Still excellent after all these years.
