Update Feb 24: Still keeps happening and noone seems to be interested in fixing. Poor feedback management :( Happens way too often that an ad (donation program) is triggered while reading which removes the complete article and only this very ad is shown in the top left corner. Only way out is to go back, reopen the article and hope it doesn't happen again. Happens at the weirdest and most random moments while reading. Persistent for months. Will avoid your app from now on :( Edited

Full of ads and tracking, even if you're a subscriber. The login page to opt out of the tracking doesn't accept your login (for any of paper, digital, or "Kombi" Abos). You have to subscribe to a completely separate "Pur Abo" which is billed separately, and only gives "less" ads and still includes tracking with at least Google Analytics. Absolute BS. I'll just use Firefox with tracking protection and Adblock, thanks. Edited

You can't read any article. After a few seconds the app closes. Sometimes it even closes when you only read the headlines. And then you have to start anew. Very unstable. This happened only recently. Before it was OK. But now horrible reading experience

constantly getting logged out, if the app remembers me I get a 'done' notification everytime starting the app... impossible to manage anything related to your account neither in the app nor online l: you need to get in contact with customer support... asking to to submit your credit card details via fax (!), post or by phone - welcome to the 21st century if you allow background activity required for push notifications the app literally takes 50% of my Pixel 9 battery... Reading an article, going to another app because of a call e.g. and then back to the app is very uncomfortable: indeed article read is closed by then and starting page is shown. Not really a seemless experience.
