I love this app; so far, it has worked well for me (though there haven't been many quakes >4.0 lately). The only thing keeping me from giving five stars is that the app has been closing abruptly when it should be running in the background. It IS supposed to run in the background, isn't it? It's not much good for warnings, otherwise. It's not a power saving setting, I have that turned off. Any help would be great. Thanks.

It would be nice if tbe graph would also show a number maybe at the top in addition to the line? Also wish the recording option could be changed, as one minute is not very long. I appreciate that this app is free. There are apps out there that feel like they are more sensitive (like vibration meter), but those can be expensive so I'll continue to use this one until I find something better.

So, today we had the practice drill. I mostly work at night and sleep in until noon. I noticed that the practice alert was at 10:21am. It's on my phone, but I didn't hear it go off. I keep my phone on silent when I sleep, but my alarm always go off and wakes me up. I thought this app would do the same. It would be awesome, if this app could override the volume settings and just go off with no problems. Just something y'all might want to look into. Edited

Hi, thank you for the feedback. The app will override the volume settings for a real event. We do not use this capability for the test alerts, since those don't require immediate attention.

Good potential but currently not very useful. Global alerts are disabled but I'm still receiving them. Also, the alerts don't provide much detail or open a page with more details. For example, a recent 6.1 earthquake alert in the "United States" doesn't say if it's near me or 2000 miles away, nor does any earthquake of that magnitude appear on the standard map (it eventually appeared after several more minutes). Hi, we are very sorry about this. This is a bug that we're dealing with and would like to have a fix for as soon as possible. As for the location "United States," we understand that it's not very helpful and we're figuring out ways to send out the exact location. We thank you for understanding and being patient at this time.

Update removes functionality! In the previous version, it was easy to see at a glance the size and recency of earthquakes, via size and color of the circles respectively. Now you can only see recency. Also the ability to zoom out has been reduced. Before you could see the whole Pacific at once to see the ring of fire; now you can only see part at a time. Bring back the old UI!

Hi Kristin, we are sorry that the new app still has some design challenges to work through. We did many rounds of user testing for the redesign, but have realized that more users are looking for something a bit different. On a positive note, we have heard your concerns and have noted them down to improve the app and your experience. Thank you!
