If you are having connection issues, read the bottom of this review! 👇 Printer is setup on a 2.4ghz network and the wireless LAN Setup is 100% spot on on the printer display, but the app is unable to locate the printer. Thank you for selling me a $200 paperweight. Update: 100% fixed my problem. Setup access point mode and turn it on. Select printers Wi-Fi network and voila it works perfectly, and it continues to work AFTER you turn off access point mode. Try it, you won't be disappointed! Edited

I gave it one star only because it won't let you do zero. this app is a complete waste of your time. it lists several permissions that are "optional" but it won't work without them. It won't let you select an album in your photos so you have to waste time scrolling thru until you find it. My phone shows I'm connected to the printer but the app tells me it's not connected. it offers no ability to change print quality in the app. I can't believe cannon put their name on this dysfunctional app. Edited

I wish they had a better app for my phone. I like to art journal so I print a lot of different pictures. I use my phone to screenshot what I want, then I print it out. the Canon app doesn't let me size and print more on one page so I have a lot of wasted paper. I don't understand why a big company like Canon doesn't care about their app usability. compete with HP, they managed to make their's work! Please fix this and I will update my review to reflect this Edited

everything has been fine until about 2 months ago. Now I suddenly can't print to my Canon printer from my Samsung Galaxy android phone. Both the Canon and the Galaxy firmware are up to date. I get an odd printer message that it can't print encrypted documents/photos. it caused a very! big problem for me. I have cleared the printer cache. What's the problem? What's the fix?

Absolutely the worst app and printer combo. printer will not wake up to print I have to go turn it on, which defeats the purpose of a wireless printer. and you cannot print without the app. phones and computers already have the ability to print. but this app prevents printing. very disappointed. when I can get one device to print, it will only print for that time period and never work again unless I set it up again. completely worthless.
