For those of you just downloading and running this app? BE AWARE!!! This program is ONLY for specific hardware! It only works with specific drives (Hitachi-LG portable DVD writer). Great for transferring your old favorite music CD"s to your micro SD in like Android 8 and higher phones. The "Slim Portable" H-L drives also work with PC's in Windows 10. The big advantage is that the drive is powered by USB. No bulky power supply needed! If you do not have the listed hardware, it will not work.

Works decently for playback of audio CDs and data disks. I haven't yet tried extracting audio or burning any discs yet, but I will update when I do. The eject disc button is not as intuitive as it should be. A plus symbol usually means to add something, so using that as an icon for an eject button is confusing. I would suggest the developer change this to a more recognizable symbol.

For once, "You get what you pay for" is true....1st, this app worked with a Dell, not an LG - go figure. 2nd, it will play tracks OK, but does not read the ID3 (I assume) data. On functions such as Ripper, it won't get past the second button. Only other app I found that would control a portable CD player was CD Ripper by Convert Technologies (last updated 2018). This did everything right - connected more simply, displays all track data - but sadly, they charge a fee per track. Hence my opening comment. Either this app is not physically reading the CD or not connecting to Gracenote, but since CD Ripper worked fine with the same hardware, gotta be the app that needs fixing.

Used it to rip cd to my phone. Very easy to use. But every time you take a disc out and put a new one in. It shuts the app down. But it's very easy to restart the app and rip the cd. A little bit inconvenient but not a problem. I'm impressed with how fast it is. It would be better if it loaded the album cover and song list automatically. I recommend this app though. Keep up the good work

Doesn't work in Android 13, at all. Tested with Hitachi-LG and with another DVD drives, with all CD and DVD formats, including the most basic one - Audio-CD. Result: nothing works. Though OTG CD/DVD device recognized by the system as an external memory drive connected, its content can't be accessed anyway, this app doesn't fix this issue.
