Don't waste your time. As most reviews have stated, this app doesn't work currently. When it does actually recognizes the drive, it sometimes doesn't play the dvd. Also, if it does play the dvd, there's no mechanism to sync the sound with the audio. The audio is about a second off. It's more frustrating than it's worth. Edited

Works for me about half the time. More often than not have to close all instances of app and unplug drive to restart. Resume doesn't work nor do most player controls so can only just play from start of disc every time. UPDATE: after the latest software update now the app just freezes up with it purports to be loading a disc. It went from infuriatingly inconsistent to downright worthless. Edited

Trash. Portable dvd for android. I see the files starts to play and all I get is a blank screen then "not responding". Freaking awesome!!! I love it when their own apps don't even work for their own product! Trash trash trash

Does not detect my drive, a brand new Hitachi-LG with instructions that says to use this app. This app just says "Please plug in USB Dvd drive". The Disc Link Platinum app, also part of the instructions, has no problem browsing the disc, so the problem is this software. Edited

Appalling App. Having to use it reluctantly as purchased the Hitachi portable DVD for Android to view old family films that were on old DVDs. It works once then the next time you have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to play.
