I tried 3 dictionary apps before this, all had ads or a subscription and tracked/sold your data. that's insane. it's a dictionary. c'mon. Thanks to Livio, I found one that has a word of the day, remembers your searches, and doesn't sell my data. Surprisingly, that's asking a lot, but you delivered. I'd put a donation link somewhere and maybe enable notifications for word of the day, but no other notes, works perfect

My goto offline app to get concise meaning of words as I do reading and research on my phone. Many times other apps, while good, are overkill when I am trying to focus on my reads. Same for online dictionaries, while good, provide TMI that I would normally do when I do a deep dive into the words themselves. A time consuming activity. IMO This is the best offline dictionary app to keep on your phone.

This app offers almost everything you could want from a dictionary app: offline, multiple definitions, word etymology, synonyms, antonyms, and an ability to "favorite" words you want to remember. The app also has minimal permissions for its fxn; it doesn't ask to see your contacts or use your camera. I'd give this app five stars, if not for the fact that the function to read words aloud doesn't function. Edit: Problem was due to text-to-speech error, not app, so 5 stars for the app. Edited

Ok I look forward to this app over many others I have used. It's easy to navigate and the word prediction is imperative when not knowing exactly how to spell a word that i'm looking for. The worst part about this app is Random Word! It's random alright like 99 % of those that it chooses are so far-out and unnecessary and with nothing exciting in their content. Like math equation definitions or a German word for something stupid that I will never, ever use in real time

It's splendid. this was the first dictionary app I downloaded for my phone and I use it everyday (never thought I would) This is what an ideal offline dictionary should be - Convenient and fast - No annoying ads or lag - Bookmarks can be backed up Google Drive or any cloud. - Text to speech - Fully customizable I could go on, but you gotta try it yourself to see. It does what it says. The definitions and etymology are adequate enough too. I only wish it had more synonyms and antonyms.
