Been waiting for this book to come out and was not disappointed :D it was amazing and the end was....wow lol I can't say much without spoiling it. I did have trouble trying to scroll towards the bottom of the page and accidentally chose a option I didn't want. I wish there was a back button to undo the choice that was made instead of starting over :/

A great job as always. This installment in the series does a great job at showing how the characters have changed, including our ronin. My only gripe is the stats and attunement. It feels like they've been forgotten or nulled this book, which is a little confusing. Besides that inconsequential nitpick, great job, again! I already can't wait for the next one!

Fantastic as always, the ending caught me entirely off guard. I honestly thought it was going to end a lot sooner and more "satisfying" but that cliffhanger twist was perfection. I feel as though my Ronin has gone through such a great character arc, and the portraits help guide the story through some of the twists in a fun sorta way. I eagerly await book 6 and the return of my swan riding monkey heheh.

I found the anguish in the story fitting my own, minus physically killing people. I can self relate to a lot in this series. I'm hoping this book series continues. My choices lines up with how the story goes so far. I don't want it to end any time soon. Thanks for delving into the worst parts of myself. I can relate in several ways and still able to self insert into this story. I wouldn't read or buy these books if I could not. Edited

Six stars. It deserves more than five. Absolutely fantastic and easily the best of the series. It is heart-wrenching and action packed and surprisingly long. It is a proper narrative and the characters are so fantastic that even after four books new layers have been added that make them even more complex and more human, even some of the villains and heroes become more and less sympathetic respectively. Absolutely worth the purchase.
