A great book for having downtime with the characters. I understand people's problems with a lack of constant action like the previous books, but I think sometimes a story needs to take a beat to have more character focus. Amazing developments for all the romances, since without the constant action the characters actually have time to develop them.

Definitely some set up for book 4 going on, but it's necessary for the story in my opinion. Following the author, some scenes were shuffled around for the story to make more sense, so there is a lot of background and world building coming to light. Overall, I found it quite enjoyable, and personally can't wait for the next one, as I know it'll be worth it!

It's dreadfully short at less than 300k words since a good chunk of that word count involves different scenes based on previous choices in the prior two books. The events that happen in this book also feel lackluster. Don't get me wrong, the writing is good, but it's nearly 100% downtime and exposition. This feels like someone ripped out 70% of the actual book 3 and this is what was left. I'd say do a playthrough for each romance option you like to see their scenes and then wait until book 4.

The entire book felt lacking and like it was perhaps a set up for book 4. The star of it was a lot of character moments and downtime, but it wasn't backed up by any forward story progression of any kind. There was a LOT of info/lore dumping. The ending was abrupt. The replayablity is high if you're willing to recreate your entire character as most of it comes from previous decisions. Almost none of the choices made in this book have visible consequences in this book. Perhaps in a future one?

Dissapoinment. Very different from the first and the second book. I mean the story is good as usual, but it's lack that 'adventure and challenging' story plot line like in the previous book. And the price for this short story? Very not worth it. Hopefully the next one is much better than this book. Edited
