Yayyyy! I have waited so long for this to come out that I thought the writers had forgotten about this series. It's not just a book you read once, and it's over. I have played it over and over and over again, changing key decisions from previous books and with each different love interest, making different decisions, etc. Some parts stay the same, and I can skip through quickly, but there are some changes too, and it's so much fun!

My overall experience was that it was... fine. I can't say that the drama was as engaging as it was meant to be, and the romances felt flat. The writing is adequate but nothing I would hail as incredible (everyone still "chuckles" far too often and there's still a tendency for the author to say too much instead of implying/letting us use our imaginations more). I wonder if most of the years of development were spent on coding the branches more than anything else. I wish I had enjoyed it more.

Still love the world and characters, but I'll admit that I think this is the weakest of the 3 books so far, mainly due to the weak conflict presented here. I just did not care or got invested in the trappers at all. ): When I first played the demo, I thought they were just a small part of the book then the main focus. Regardless, they were interesting developments that left me excited for more and I still eagerly await the rest of the story.

The third book seems to fall short of the other two. This game had so much potential but fell short of the goal. It feels like the author was trying to get the words out, and had very little heart in most routes. A lot of choices as well, which isn't an issue with these types of games, but many of the choices feel hollow. Playing Felix's route felt lack luster. Less important than the other routes. The real star of this game though, had to be Mason's. They had the most character development.

Conflicted on this one. Loved the last two games, even if there were some odd decisions made in the plotlines (they're worse here). The relationship and dialogue writing is good, as always. The plot railroading was rather unfortunate. The investigation that is featured in each of the 3 games never exceeded the scope of the first game, and that was limited in and of itself. Main gripe is that at the end of the game, the player is forced to make choices with one outcome and have forced beliefs. Edited
