In countries with severe internet censorship, Tor is the best solution, and having an Android Tor VPN client app is extremely useful. however, Orbot is very rarely updated and there are issues that have been around for a long time. for example the "turn tor off" option never works properly and causes the app to crash several times when you try to reconnect after using it. this crashing issue also sometimes happens randomly. fixing this can save us a lot of time.

Does not work. Even if it does, I don't see the relevant display info such as Download/Upload/SOCKS etc even when I enabled Power User mode. Often the chosen browsers do not show on the home screen. I have to click settings just to see the Log instead of it displayed on the home screen. Connection just dies out after the app says connected and I open a browser to a webpage. I have an older version 16.6.0-RC-4tor.0.4.6.9 on another older phone and that works with no problems.

During the recent days, it is the second time for me to update since the last stable version. It still died intermittently but better than last update. Sometimes it doesn't work completely. And it doesn't disappear from the "recent using app" screen. Also, the Tor icon on notification bar doesn't display the flow signal, so I can't be sure that Tor is working. Would you please release a better and stable version? Thanks.

When it works, its great. The first start after install goes fine, as long as I leave it running and wifi stays connected. As soon as it stops or drops the wifi signal, it hangs at the "starting" screen. The only thing I've found to fix it is reinstalling. Have tried force stopping and restarting the phone to no avail. Have also tried switching identities and servers.

Orbot used to be a great free VPN, unfortunately now it either completely interrupts my connection or does not start at all. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I have also cleared the cache several times. Nothing seems to work. I hate to do it, but I am uninstalling this app. I will try it again in a few months. Maybe the bugs will be worked out by then.
