6/20/25 - ads have gotten ridiculously long lately, including with sound on. It's a shame you're ruining a great app by doing that. I'm gone..... 10/19/24 - whoa, the recent update has made L8 much more challenging and a good game! Only thing keeping this from 5 stars is ads with sound and ads that have hidden or very difficult way to dismiss. Love the app, and the developer has been responsive to my concerns about ads with audio and goofy screen layout. Edited

We cannot control ads, but can try to block persistent bad ads. Send details to aifactory.co.uk. Ads can be annoying but our Ad rate is still lower than most free apps. Ads are what pay for the development of these apps, the strongest on Google Play. Note the paid "Pro" version provides a whole lifetime free of ads for single one-off modest fee.

It's good practice up until level 4. But on level 5 the bias toward the cpu player is profound. Despite the developers' protests, there is just no way the computer would get that many doubles, such better dice rolls, and an opportunistic timing in favor of the cpu that is just laughable. I mean the cheating is so over the top you can't miss it. I'm trying to use level 5 as practice against a rigged game, that's how bad it is.

We have really made it very easy indeed to prove our program does not cheat, as 100s of players have already done so. It uses an industry-standard LCR RNG. I only recently learned how to play and have found this app to be an amazing tool for refining my strategies. It has lots of great options, it plays smoothly, and the AI can be increased for more challenging games. All that said, the AI is disappointing at the higher levels. It becomes very unbalanced with odds of no-win positional moves available to you. Tried app again but found the same problem THE AI cheats. The AI increases its probability of doubles when bearing off nearly every time.

I loved this app till it started cheating with its dice rolls. It never cheated before. I have been playing it for years and suddenly it is winning 90% of the running games, getting 3 large doubles late in the game. It has (since I have been keeping track) 47 large doubles (4s, 5s, or 6s) to my 8 once past each others blots. It also gets in and hits more than statistically reasonable. With one space to get in, it does so more than 50% of the time on the first roll. 1 in 10 for me.

It does not cheat and has never cheated, but it is now stronger. What you are experiencing is the program's good placement play, minimising risk. The old weaker levels are still supported. I use to love this game. However, recently, the play has changed. Now, the dice rolls always seem to result in the exact move needed by the computer to bar my pieces. Also, I have had on several occasions all of my pieces on my inner table with many of the computer pieces there as well, only to not receive the needed tools and the computer to have several doubles in a row and win. I use to find this the most equitable backgammon app. Now, it is as faulty and biased as the rest. Edited

Its because of good statistical strategy, not cheating. It chooses moves that reduce exposure. It is the strongest on Google Play.
