It was a little different from the Word Scape game my husband has, this game so far only goes Across NOT Down. And eases you into the game, allowing your brain to acclimate. I am old school, pen n paper lol, so this was nice, as it didnt frustrate me. The App itself, works very smoothly and as for advertising, you barely notice it, it does not interfere with the playing of the game.

I've decided to rate this game 5 stars not because it's perfect (as others have pointed out there are some words that should count but don't, and that's frustrating) but because of the way this game handles ads. Unlike so many other free/ad sponsored games, Word Connect has the least intrusive ads I've seen. Plus the game is a lot of fun to play. (I'm amazed that the hardest words sometimes are the little 3 letter words.) With regard to the ads, I actually find myself purposefully watching ads sometimes so I can rack up more credits. That's the way EVERY game should behave. I can't even count the number of games I've uninstalled because the ads were just too annoying. Kudos to the developer for the way this game is set up. And by way of comparison I installed the "Original" word scape game, and uninstalled it 15 minutes later. The ads were so obnoxious I couldn't stand it. The one criticism I have, and it becomes more annoying the more I play, is that the dictionary used is woefully inadequate. So many words that should be there, for which players should receive credit when they're not used in a puzzle (which they can't since according to the dictionary they don't exist) are M.I.A. It really needs to be addressed. (I would also point out that word play at the Newbie level seems a lot harder than the Newbie title would suggest.) Edited

Seriously the best of this type of word connect game!! The ads are few and far between, I played 20 levels without one! No tricks to get you stuck watching one. I despise constant ads, and that's what makes me keep or uninstall a game. I totally get that they need ads to keep the game free, I don't mind watching a couple here and there, but SO many games go crazy with the amount of them and make them incredibly intrusive. It's amazing this game doesn't, I absolutely love it! Thanks developers!!

Great game! Starts out simple and gradually gets more and more and more difficult. The puzzles with lots of letters & several words to find are the ones I find the most challenging. Relaxing? It is until you get to the challenging part. Then you want to pull your hair out! 😂🤣😂🤣 Only one thing to complain about. You could give us a few more coins(?) / Points(?) when we reach reward time. Just a few more. Other than that, I love this game. Thanks!

Good game. At present time, level 180, ads are minimal. Every 2 or three rounds, there is a reasonable 5 second ad. There is also a small ad in the bottom of the screen. If this continues, I probably will buy the ad free version to show appreciation for the development of a reasonable example of how ads can be placed in an app without pissing off the user. Good job.
