The feature to record video is perfect for capturing my upstairs neighbor. Having the time, date and location definitely helps for reporting purposes. Big issue is that the screen goes to sleep early while video recording and stops the recording upon waking up the phone. The settings don't seem to apply to the pic/vid function. Please add options for time and date format as not everyone uses military time. I would change "History" to "Saved Recordings" Edited

This is a straightforward, easy-to-use sound dB app. Although I've just installed it, and run through it's menus and capabilities, I especially appreciate it's ability to record (audio and/or video) of the target sound and the location, date, and time stamped graph, making it extremely useful when presenting a factual case about an incident.

Out of ~10 sound meter apps i've tried on the appstore, this is likely the best - straightforward to use, no nonsense, and most importantly, saves and lets me export the audio files. However, the interface is small, i think the "virtual sound meter device" visual design was a weird choice - an option to set the interface to fullscreen mode would be really beneficial by making objects/text bigger and easier to read.

A great sound recording app that uses the multiple mics on your phone which help in picking up (and actually amplifying) low-frequency noises (not the best but still very decent) and it's got diff modes (ie. one that records just audio and a video mode which records a video and has the audio graph as an overlay with the dB reading up top as well).

Good app, however mostly useless unless you have a calibrated decibel meter to calibrate it against. I was hoping there were some common device presets or something that would allow a reasonable starting point for a calibrated reading. Without this, the fact remains, you need a decibel meter to calibrate, so may as well use that to measure rather than this app.
