I've had this app for years and it's been fantastic. However, this past week or so I've been experiencing loading issues. The app will not load and I am unable to search for books. I just get a constant loading screen when both opening the app or attempting to search. I have checked for updates (none available) and turned my phone on/off multiple times to no avail. I didn't have this issue prior to the most recent update, so I'm assuming it's a bug from that update. Hopefully they fix it soon. Edited

the app itself has a really nice charcoal background dark mode, but the only dark mode to actually read with is pitch black which is way too hard on my eyes. as I read at night, the lighter color modes are way too bright for me. why is there not a charcoal dark mode?? or the ability to customize background and text colors altogether?? it basically makes this app unusable for me. frustrating.

I love reading Kindle books along with the audiobook books. The link between Kindle and Audible has been broken for months. I can't see the cost of audiobooks to pair up with Kindle books I own through the app anymore. And half the time when I try to play the audio in the app, I get the "assistive reader" thing instead of the audiobook. It ruins the reading experience.

The complaint from my previous review was fixed, but I got a new complaint with the update, and the original is still there. The new complaint - I often add highlights accidentally, because I get tired and let my thumb sit on the screen. Deleting it used to be as simple as tapping the highlight, then an X. Now you have to go into the notebook, and delete the highlight when the page isn't showing. My original complaint was when they removed the option to manually organize your library. Edited
