Lots of great recipes, which are easy to search for. I have only rarely encountered bugs, and none in recent versions. My only complaint is that the app needs a dark mode. Edit: March 2025 - a recent update caused the app to randomly minimize itself and return to the home tab when I switch back to it. Edited

Took some time to prepare for oven. Used 2 small cans of tomatoes pured/crushed in blender as that was what was in pantry in place of large crushed tomatoes. Well worth the effort to prepare. Definitely will make for guests. Turned put just like picture. Perfect amounts, directions and outcome. Thanks!

App is decent but loses place if you navigate away. For example if you search something or respond to a text, when you come back to the app it's on the home screen. you have to find the recipe again. not a one-time issue, it seems to be how the app or Android works unfortunately that makes it useless if you want to use it follow along with a recipe. better to use a web browser or picture

I first read Cook's Illustrated in the late 90s at the college where I worked. I was hooked on your first rate details, illustrations, and general expertise. You did all the research and I got all the glory! No ads, tips and tricks from readers, equipment reviews, and wonderful background info gives me solid lessons and consistent inspiration and confidence to keep coming back. I've been using your online membership for decades and can't stand it if my subscription lapses. Thank you!

Great resource! Decent app - it's an attractive UI and it works. My main issue is that I can't do multi-word searches reliably, e.g. "green beans". I would love a multi ingredient search for when I want to throw a couple of specific things together. I would also love if there were pairing suggestions for every entree. Sometimes I do not have the mental energy to think of sides to round out a meal!
