I've used tidal for years now and like it much more than other options. Android 15 added the Google now bar and tidal hasn't updated to support it so there is no longer a now playing, you have to open the phone and the app to skip songs on the phone. I wish Google made a way to disable the now bar because it's absolutely terrible. Edited

This app is one of the worst when I comes to bugs. The update that was released last year 2.145 broke casting in a way where it shows 2 completely different songs on your phone and TV. The shuffle is also absolutely trash, it will shuffle the first 50 songs and you have to choose a song further back in your library for it to touch songs that were added a while back. I can list MANY more but this review would be a couple pages long. Fix your bugs from months ago instead of just saying sorry... 👎 Edited

Generally speaking, the app works alright. It still isn't quite as fluid or "pretty" as Spotify, but that's okay. Lately it seems that if I am listening via Tidal Connect, then stop for a while & it disconnects, it doesn't work right the first time I reconnect. For instance, I reconnected and kept playing the same song, then when I tried to change to a new song, it disconnected and jumped to the middle of the new song?? To be clear, updating did not fix this. Edited

Fantastic music quality and so glad they pay more per stream to the artist. The glaring UI issues, interruption of songs, not being able to control Tidal on another device from your phone, slow loading no matter the Wi-Fi or connection you have kept me off the app though. You shouldn't have to download third party software to get an app to work properly. I love this app and streaming service but the system needs to be fixed.

After about a month in: Tidals algorithm does a poor job compared to what I used to use (starts with an S, ends in y, and is run by a money grubbing CEO). Even after giving the app a playlist to start from, it ends up in weird ideas of what the genera or kind of music. Songs are often irrelevant to the playlists, but maybe to your broader tastes. This really throws off the vibe of said playlist. Two stars for paying musicians, better, minus three stars for terrible music algorithms. Edited
