A truly full fledged synth in terms of features and sound. It is capable of a lot and the UI is self explanatory for those familiar with the fundamentals of production. I only wish that midi and recording were available. I still have to go over the manual and figure out the intricacies.

A great sounding synth that shows you visually how your sound is being manipulated. This can make for very complex patches that are created quite easily. The main problem I have seen is that it crashes when switched from portrait to landscape mode.

Thank you for the review! Regarding the portrait to landscape problem, it sounds like there might be a compatibility issue between Shaper and the particular device you are using. Could you please let us know what kind of device and OS you are running? We would be happy to look into it and have it fixed for you.

I have found the complete lack of compression options to be limiting in creating really grungy basslines. If this isn't your thing, then this might not matter. Something more universally unfortunate is the inability to change the BPM. The option is there, but it resets to 120, every time I attempt to change it; this happens on both my tablet and my phone. Overall a very well built synth app, and with a few updates, this could be worthy of 5 stars. Edited

Hi Mike, thanks for your feedback and I apologize for the BPM issue. It does appear to be a bug on the Android version and we will have it fixed in the next update.
(Update: The BPM issue has been resolved in the latest 1.1.3 patch)

Very nice app for unique Bass! Notice to export sounds you need record it using jack to jack cable from phone to PC in order to record via Audacity internal recording because there's no any export option but I hope they update it with more effects tabs for now you can use max 3 effects also they should add macro too Edited
