immediate paywall... there's no way to sample the app before purchasing it. I'd like to try out the app and see how it works, to see if it's worth the money..

Thank you so much for sharing this, Peggy. We totally get it. We're currently updating the paywall so you’ll get 5 free camera searches before seeing any paywall. The new version should be live mid-week. If you have any other feedback, feel free to reach out to
[email protected]. We truly appreciate your support 💜🐾

I can't filter toxic plants to just house plants. There is a huge list that lists the scientific name of the plant, not the common name. IJust easier to Google the plant than use this app.

Thanks for the honest feedback. Reviews like yours help make ToxiPets better for our pet community. We completely agree, and we're working on adding category-specific filters (like houseplants) and common names in the next 2 weeks to make everything easier to use.

I wish there was a free version. I'm a vet professional looking for an app I can recommend to clients. It seems like it's accurate and has very useful features. Maybe there could be a free version where pet owners can search (like Google but reliable) to tell owners if a plant/item/etc is toxic? As in, make the searching by pictures or product bar code a cost feature. (And whatever else.) But if someone just wants to know if grapes are poisonous, they could type in "grapes" and receive a "YES!"

Thanks for checking Toxipets! Glad you found it helpful. Our US-based DVMs evaluate 130,000 ingredients and 20,000 plants for safety from scratch. We're a self-funded startup, committed to saving lives. Even after the trial, our poison list and community are open to users.
We took note of the sharing toxin links and will prioritize for 2024.

Great app for pet owners. I like what this app can do like detecting ingredients that could be harmful for my pets. All I gotta do is scan the barcode, or simply scan the ingredients if no barcode. One of the great features is it can even detect poisonous plants, which I am sure will improve over time. As a technology and data enthusiast myself, I am impressed with what this company is building. Edited
