Hate to say it, but I was just disappointed. It sold itself as a story where I could do cool witch-stuff and mess around the with town and interact with people while maybe saving it. Which it was... just kinda done poorly. Not enough intrigue, invested character time, or explanation until you literally just get told it straight on. If you want what I thought this game was gonna be, maybe try a different choice game. At the very least, it's well-written.

The writing is well done, however the actual story and characters are sadly forgettable and the plot does not grab you. It felt like a slog to continue. A real shame, as the author is clearly a competent writer and could do wonderful things with an improved plot, more fleshed-out characters, and a better sense of how to truly customize/make engaging the romance options and side characters.

Despite all the other negative reviews I really liked it. I think most people are too critical when reading or watching things. I like to just enjoy myself, and I did. I really liked the romance with nic and the plot twist. My only issue was the ending seemed abburpt or unfinished. Will there not be a second game?? The book just kind of ended when I had questions. ive played almost every game by this company and this is the only terrible game they have. i was so excited for it, unique, a nice long word count, only to find out half the paths are broken and will show words from either outcome, the grammer and spelling was never checked, and its written in such a way that i cant even find where the story branches since big choices dont seem to make a difference. theres just too much going for it to be justified that the outcome is the same every single time.

As someone who loves witchy stories, I'll admit I was disappointed how it feels like your town's more political situation and the forest felt more focused then your actual powers. My bigger issue is the characters though. They didn't feel too fleshed out, and I accidentally did my first playthrough without romancing anyone because I thought I was still getting to know them, before I was thrust to the endgame. It's well told, but it didn't feel really unique overall.
