While I do have some problems (ie your MC always having a fangirl crush on Taylor regardless of personality, Allison dropping an abrupt confession no matter what, characters seeming to forget that you made them mad), it is refreshing in its choices and the way the game follows up on them. Has variety of outcomes that are fun and easy to explore, without being too reliant on stats. Edited

This was enjoyable ... up until the end. I can't really say much without spoiling it but basically in the ending I got, if you succeed in the main endeavor of the game, it is inexplicably undone during the epilogue and you're just meant to accept that your character did nothing to stop it. Which is exceptionally stupid for a method of story telling that revolves around choices. In spite of that I'd still recommend it if you can get past a possible poorly written ending. Edited

The first playthrough was more than enough for me. Lots of choices were trivial and didn't matter at all, when there could be other important choices that we could have decided for that were not in our control. There are other far superior COG titles out there that you should be buying. (Choice of the Deathless is great, imo.)

The ending (and many plot points) was literally a giant mess. There were so many different inconsistencies and plot holes with the few playthroughs I had. It didnt seem to be caused be inept writing, but rather extremely poor use of the Choice Script used to make these apps. The game did not properly track a staggering amount of choices, to the point I had to re-read many paragraphs of text just to understand what the hell was happening. Completely immersion breaking

I've played this a long time ago and after many CoG's and HG's, it still holds up to this day. (Although the prices haven't, my personal opinion though.) Even if comparably a bit simple and short to newer games. Simplicity is what I've missed. It's very charming and I'm not left thinking "Wait. That's it?". Nowadays a lot of CoG's and HG's seem to suffer from rushing and to be honest a lack of quality control. This is definitely a classic!
