The pacing is a bit too fast, it seems kind of rushed, and the stats are a bit misleading sometimes, but the characters are very three dimensional, the plot is mostly solid, and the world building is decent for such a short and fast game. Overall, it definitely has flaws that hold it back but the foundation is solid and got me hooked and invested in the story

There are more pathways but I am not sure there are more *choices*. Replaying generates a lot of new text, and you can learn a lot about the NPCs, but your character doesn't really "grow", just gets more/less trusting and more/less desperate. At times, it feels like the challenge is to interest the individuals with actual power to deign to lend a hand. I am a huge fan of the author, but I came away vaguely disappointed.

Save game progress is a joke. The game restarted itself and deleted my "save". Thought this had been fixed with previous games. No idea if the story is any good as I didn't get far enough to find out. Edited

It's easily the worst in their crossover series (Hunter/VTM stuff) and there were already a couple of stinkers in there. It's unfortunate because a couple of them were good. This one has insufferable pacing and some of the choices make absolutely no sense as far as the consequences they have. The writing failed to hook me at all.

I love World of Darkness content but this is no Beast of Glenkildove, Book of Hungry Names, or Night Road. For one, its mostly just a homelessness simulator with vampires. The stat system is different and minimalist, characters are flat and the story has no depth. Youre forced to miss content for resource collection and you have to juggle mental health, hunger, environment, etc which all distracts from the plot. Its also very preachy. The writing is fine but the core plot is just lackluster.
