I don't know how many times I've had to restore my purchases or just give up and buy the sorry and extra add on. It's getting old. I like this piece but a lot of the choice of game games seem to conveniently forget that I've already paid for them. Advice- if you buy the book- don't take it off your phone and then redownload it. Every time you'll have to pay again.

I changed my 3 star to a 4 star just for the replay value it has. It's a good story, great character writing, great writing in general, and the illustrations! Dont get me started on the illustrations. BUT, although there is high replay value, after about ch. 2 or 3, it is notably rushed. The ending is unsatisfying compared to the rest of the story, and I got invested in my character, only for it to really not mean in the end. Edited

Dropping my review from 4/5 to 3/5 after a recent replay. I genuinely like this game but it's got so many problems. Your characters inner monologue is written amazingly, and there's a lot of opportunity to flesh out their motivations. My praise ends there - The plot is nonsensical and chock full of holes, too many characters you barely interact with, your stats/clan do nothing, it's super rushed and incredibly short. I liked it bc it hit the setting/MC monologue was cool, but... It's not great. Edited

Its a good story, though sadly short. Its a shame the first VTM story released by COG that allows you to play Malkavian leaves you wanting more. The writing is good though and the author is quite good at setting a scene. Though for the price paid, I find it difficult to recommend to others. But if you have cash to spare and don't mind a short story, by all means give this a shot, you won't be disappointed.

Very linear, choices matter very little in the -extremely- short story with characters with names I keep forgetting. Unremarkable at best, but mostly bad. The whole prophecy thing made very little sense. The characters are all rather bland and not very memorable, even the main character. Stats are never put into context. By far the least pleasing VtM game of the lot. I knew what to expect judging by the reviews on Steam, but I managed to be disapointed anyway. Steer away from SotS. Edited
