Got it on launch and im going through it at a digestible pace, only found a few dialogue issues when choosing a female protagonist still being referred to as he. By all means its a marvelous story, im going to continue reading as soon as i have spare funds to do so. the world is so thought out and gets a bit confusing at times which it should considering what your character is going through. i almost hope that there isn't an ending and that in a few years we'll get another iteration to add on

Spent all day playing the story! It had some very fun and interesting themes to chew on, and I especially liked the texture the game let you add to your player character. I played a loyalist who didn't quite know how to exist when not serving the crown, and I really enjoyed one final ending option that let me acknowledge exactly that in my romance with the king. It was a perfect, flavorful note to end on because it honored the complexity of my character while still leaving room for hope. 5/5.

Among the top few titles Choice of Games has offered yet. Absolutely massive, lengthy and deep with a truly impressive number of paths to take, but despite the word count the writing never suffers for it, every scene is beautifully crafted, every character is wonderful and believable. This one really gives you the chance to decide what being a reborn hero is going to mean, for you and for your country. One of the CoG stories that left me wishing I could live it.

I really like the story and the author took the time to make sure the different paths converge well. The only issue I have is that every time CoG/HG claims a 1M+ word count, I'm going to be the one to check the scene files and see whether that's genuine or from a lack of loops/conditionals pasting similar blocks of text over again to pad the count. Not the worst example of it, but there is padding.

I have no words other than to say this was hands down the best choose your own adventure I have ever experienced and the author is no mere writer, but a story teller who transported me into their world and gave me the gift of their talent. Edited
