Alright, they fixed the putting which was nightmarishly hard. But now I can't tell you the amount of times that my ball rolls over the hole but doesn't go in. It's stupid how often it happens. It's used to be that putting was so hard you wanted to chip in from the fringe. Now they've gone, "well your shot was perfect and it's going snack toward the center of the hole but our algorithm only allows chip ins once every 22 perfect shots." 🤷 "Why not try spending money on this game?" $20/month for no ads is sheer, unadulterated greed. There is no mention that this is a monthly payment until your time runs out. In the first version, this was a one time payment which I gladly made because there was a whole host of game modes. In this sequel, you are limited to only PvP, most of whom are clearly bots added in to the game to limit your success and therefore ensure you make those blessed micro (but really they're macro) transactions. Add more single player game modes for more ⭐. Edited

Its pretty to look at. Having said that, it is really generic now. One of the main reasons why I am unistalling after being so excited for this games release is the removal of any single player content. No career mode like the first game. No campaign mode. Im not a competitive person and this game is purely competitive, and with that also comes the pay to win elements, equipment, upgrading etc. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this game, it's a clear downgrade from the first Golf Star.

I would give it a 5 star, but this game just like every other golf game out there is flawed. when playing against other players and you end up in a tie, you go into a shootout closest to pin. when first player goes and goes a bit far, second player only has to make an adjustment so he/she gets closer. I think the shot should NOT be shown to players so they don't see how you made your shots or any adjustments you made. It's frustrating every time you have to shoot first but get beat because of it

Loaded the game yesterday 11/13/25. Still a few glitches in the matrix, as the program shut down on me a few times mid round, but it did allow me to resume at the cut out point. The putting arrow is a bit touchy. I'm not not a pay to win guy, so I'll probably be behind the curve leveling up, but this game will be fun. I DO think "rare" bags should offer other than normal clubs & swag.
