Handy, but beware of shady price hikes.For years, it was $24.99, which seems the upper end of reasonable. Upon renewal this year, it went up to $74.99., 3 times the original price. Unfortunately, I caught it the day after it renewed.. I immediately tried to cancel it, but was unsuccessful. Contacted Google, they said that there were no refunds. Embarrassingly greedy! I will be scaling Google product usage back to the bare minimum until I can buy a different phone and then quit altogether.

At $20/year the app is fine. It provides a good reminder for watering and fertilizing and it is OK at plant identification. But the reality is that the schedules are hard to adjust and tend to lead to watering too frequently and with too little water. When the plant has trouble, the answer is ALWAYS "over watering" and it has never been the problem, yet. Now they want $70/year. That is comical. Hard pass. I will just have Alexa set some reminders and Google it when I have problems.

Best combination of features of the apps I've tried, they are all missing some things. 1. It doesn't support containers with multiple plants - I have a terrarium with three plants, a broad shallow pot with a mix of succulents and a cactus, and a large pot on my front porch with multiple plants. 2. I would like to be able to type in the container size instead of sliding a pointer back and forth trying to land on the right number. Maybe some standard size pots to pick from.

Don't subscribe, I forgot my password and the password reset isn't working, I don't get the email they supposedly sent, even in my spam folder. When I email support I get the generic response of "log in and cancel your subscription" even though I'm unable to log in. I've emailed 7-8 times now with no response other than the above so I have no way to cancel. Very upset about this!

When all is working properly, this is a great app. However, quality has steadily deteriorated over the past year and a half. Increasingly buggy, with app freezing and restarting repeatedly. With paid subscription, sync feature has not worked in over 6 months. Support, especially for a paid subscription app, is borderline non-existent.
