Been using this app for years as a paying member. When it works, it is awesome, but there have been many bugs and glitches over the years. Now i can no longer import gpx files, it says permission denied. And even more of an issue, is no longer being able to record tracks. It instantly crashed the app every time. Everything is up to date and been restarted, but tracks no longer work. The functionality of this app just seems to get worse with time. Ready to find a different app that works.

The developer is responsive and currently looking into map download problems. The app has been my favorite go-to for my off-road adventures for years. I like the simplicity and being able to create and edit trips both on the web and on my phone. Having access to all the different kinds of maps is a huge plus. I have hopes the download issues will be fixed soon.

I'm yet another satisfied user!! I've been using the app for a couple of years now (BCN Pro first and now XE). This is my go to app for all of my back country adventures. Love the new Web interface for XE. It's great to be able to plan a trip on the computer and then have it all on the tablet. Another great feature is being able to use the app off-line. Can't say enough about how great this app is.

I have used the app since it first came out in beta. I used Backcountry Nav Pro before that. I have tried other navigation/gps maps and this is by far the most useful app i have found. I have a Samsung 9+ and do not have any issues with crashes or sign on problems. The app works great for hiking, hunting, fishing,etc.There are many different map styles/info to choose from. I highly recommend it for anyone that loves the outdoors and exploring anywhere.

I've been using this on android for the past 9 months. I used BCN Pro for years before. I'll continue to use this, but it would be fab if some bugs were addressed! - crashing occasionally when: trying to download maps, switching map sources (offline), trying to make a waypoint - altitude measurement availability: in BCN Pro you can swipe up on the compass at the bottom of the screen, and are shown your location and elevation.
