There's no explanation of how to use this app for new users. I have no way to reserve a spot or how to pay once I'm there. Nor whom to pay or look for. It honestly makes me super nervous heading to DC with no way to verify or guarantee my parking spot before arriving there. I'll keep the app to see if someone is there to help me understand and have a parking spot for me. If so, I will change my rating and review. Until then, I'm very nervous and will find a backup spot just in case. Edited

Hey Kim! SpotAngels shows you a parking map with all the spots. There are different icons for the different types of spots (free in green, metered in blue, lots, garages...) You can tap on a spot to 1/ see the details of the parking rules and 2/ save your parking location and get reminders or to navigate to the spot.

This app is pretty much useless. I was trying to find parking near my hotel and the app produced no results, even though I later found nearby parking garages on my own. Considering it's a paid app, I'd expect better. I'm really bummed that I forgot to cancel before the trial ended. Not worth the money.

it recommended a parking garage that charges ~$11/h capped at midnight over street parking at $6/h and I only had to pay until 10p, after was free. I'd drop this down to a zero. the app allowed me to sign up for a free trial with CC, and search for a spot. a few hours later it's saying it needs different permissions to continue and I can't cancel my trial without adjusting settings. I was using this app to find parking in very urban spaces (Los Angeles). There were inaccuracies in some of the information, so I started contributing edits, which I thought would be helpful. I started doing the challenges, which were to submit photos of parking signs. Apparently, I inadvertently submitted duplicate photos for a few of the challenges (I used GPS for the address given) which prompted them to completely wipe out all of my points. Harsh. I honestly tried to help.

This app is a total scam. I have the impression it works in NYC, but it certainly doesn't work in New Orleans. It directed me to parking lots/garages that don't exist, claimed places were free when they weren't, and was just generally useless. All of which I only discovered after I signed up for a subscription, because it wasn't giving me full details before then. Fortunately, it was a trial, but I know they still got my personal info & I hate that. TL;DR: Scam!
