Reads the engine and cvt temps, although says DTC read: PARTIAL and CVT Info: PARTIAL. Is this a limitation of the vehicle (2014 Altima), the adapter (OBDScan brand?) or the demo software?

It means that for this car, cvtz50 doesn't have all the features which are available for other vehicles - eg "CVT Information" misses the list of erased DTCs. For normal DTCs, compatibility improved in beta version http://cvtz50.info/test which can be installed on top of cvtz50 full version - full DTC list now in Menu-ServiceFunctions-ReadDtcAll.

The app only says initialization ELM327 and then timeout received.. over and over again. I have a 2012 maxima sv and a bluedriver adapter what do you think it's the problem?

BlueDriver is not ELM327-compatible device. CVTz50 requires an adapter fully compliant to ELM327 protocol (and then it will work on Maxima 2012)

Just want to know first if this app is compatible with Mitsubishi Mirage 2015 before buying a good elm327. Planning to buy the full version if it does.

Yes Mirage 2015 is generally compatible (though engine rpm and cvt braking level adjustments are not available for this car).

That car should be already supported (including CVT reading) if used with good ELM327 interface build on microchip PIC18F25K80 . Check your ELM327 device: http://cvtz50.info/elm327/
