I wanted an app to track distance run, not a pedometer like most apps related to running are. I'd have been happy simply with an accurate tally of traveled miles (app can use metric units if you prefer), but this app also tallies other details: average speed, calories burned, change in elevation, etc, & can generate graph/map from them. This non-premium version plays an ad when you turn on/off, but it can be skipped after 5 sec and ads never pop up at random times. Overall, great product.

Like this app a lot due to its accuracy. It is able to track you distance to the hundredths decimal place. In addition, it provides estimated calories burned based on your age, how long you walked, & the distance traveled. Furthermore, it has a running record of date, time, distance, & place, of your exercise that can be printed out in PDF. The only problem I have encountered is the audio has not reported periodic progress during ecersice sessions even when the box is checked to report audio

I've tried a few of these walking apps, and found Walking Odometer Pro to be best suited to my needs. The option to have the app notify one at 1/4 mile, and 10 minute intervals, is very useful in keeping track during a walk's progress. I suggested to the app's developer that having overall mph/hr, and min/mile information at the end of walk would be very helpful. That information is now included in the summary activity display for each walk. I would recommend spending the $2.49 upgrade to eliminate the ads, and also help support the developer.

Just what I needed for walking, also works for bicycling. Works with phone in pocket. Distance measured agrees with the same route I plot on Google Maps. Two features I want: 1. Automatically pause timer and measurements when not moving, like when waiting at a traffic light to cross a street. I want to measure my walking time, not standing time. Automatically resume when moving. 2. Show max and avg speed in stats. EDIT: worked on bullet trains in Japan! 160 mph! Edited

Love it! Love that it keeps a daily log so you can look back. It does your Time, Distance, pace, speed, calories burnt. I especially like the voice feature that calls out your distance and time every 10 minutes, which I rely on as I listen to podcasts while doing my daily intermittent walk/jog which is 3 miles as of now, so the voice calling out my total distance every 10 minutes I know exactly when i've done 3 miles. I also went ad free forever and it was only 2 or 3 dollars. AMAZING APP!!
