I can't get even basic functionality on this app. I just to reset my password multiple times just to be able to log in. The code that the app generated to send to my partner doesn't work and only gives an error message. It keeps setting my phone number as Canadian even when I change it to USA. And it took me several minutes to initiate the pick up process today. Very frustrating experience.

Update to dev response: Correct. Can't even mark my child as picked up. The app is a good idea but the execution is horrible at best. There has to be a better app/solution out there. FetchKids hasn't worked with my kid's school pickup repeatedly, and has directly led to large delays in kid pickup. Overall, the app is super buggy at best, and some of the "features" it claims to offer are even bigger inconveniences. BOTTOM LINE: Look elsewhere if your school is considering an app of this nature. Usually I love this app since it makes the pickup process much smoother. However, I've been getting an update message every other day when I open the app for the last few weeks. These overly frequent updates are so ridiculous that I'm about to uninstall it and just give myself more time for pickup.

It has some bugs but it has worked for me at least 85% of the time since September. The one thing that has me wishing I could delete it is battery life. This app constantly runs in the background it seems and there's absolutely nothing that I can do about it. In the past two-and-a-half hours it has used up 17% of my battery and I never even opened the app. I only even thought to check that out because my battery life has been progressively getting worse for the last several months.

FetchKids only uses geolocation (battery) for pickups in progress. When completed, geolocation is off. Battery usage is optimized for mobile (1.15%). There may be other reasons your battery is draining so fast not related to Fetchkids. Please check battery usage on your phone for all apps. Please contact us at

Most of the time this app is used in the moment to notify the center that you are on the way to pick up your child. My issue is that it updates so frequently interrupting the pickup process. I've had to update 3 times in one week. And you literally can't use the app until you update it!
