The ebook prices are 40% higher here than on Kindle, for a far worse experience. The ereader is really, very poor. Only 4 fonts. Margins are way too small and not adjustable. No chapter navigation. No page numbers. No dictionary or lookup feature. No highlighting or bookmarks. And there is no "currently reading" button on the home page. You have to scroll through your whole library to find the book you were reading to continue reading it. I don't understand what they are thinking Edited

As a first version, this is a great start from Black Library having ebooks and audio all in one place. It is easy to navigate and for a short period as the app has just been released you get some free books to download. Which is a nice gift. I am loving it so far. I would like the option to filter books in series order, especially the Horus Heresy. Hopefully that is functionality for a future release.

Can only read/listen to books in the app as far as I can see. Not ideal when this is completely replacing the website. Would much prefer an optional epub file that I can transfer to my e-reader. Otherwise, it appears to be an okay reading app. You can change the typeface between a handful of preselected fonts; font size; and adjust brightness in the app itself - the bare minimum. Would appreciate a dictionary, especially for all the Warhammer terminology and slang.

No way to download MP3 or epub directly to your device to listen in your existing apps or send to an eReader. Audio books are too expensive, I'll just stick to audible. If I'm going to be locked into a service it might aswel be the cheaper alternative that will be better supported in 10 years time when GW decides it can't be bothered to maintain the app. If I could download the files and use them how I like it Might be worth the extra money, but I refuse to be locked in.

The app is ultimately disappointing & annoying. There are a lot of basic features missing. The most annoying being a "continue reading/listening" button or menu. You have to go & scroll through your whole library to find the book you are reading/listening to before you can continue it. It is really annoying when you own a lot of books. The app also glitches when you minimize the app & try to go back & continue reading. You can't. It gets stuck and you can't turn the page.
