I enjoyed this platform, but on a trip to Vietnam I was charged a 15% difference between GYGs stated price and my actual bank charge. After asking the help desk, they said it was the bank fees/currency. However Agoda/Klook/etc all charge in different currencies and bank fees in my country are never above 5%. I have never been charged more than USD 1 discrepancy on any other olatformm. An unexpected non-refundable 15% charge is wild. If you have a different option, I suggest don't use GYG.

Lots of great tours to discover on this app. I found it better than Viator. Sometimes the tour operators don't give enough info on details like where to park for meeting place, especially the ones departing from ports in Italy. it was stressful & time consuming trying to find parking in a very limited and restricted parking area, and I almost missed my tour. Getyourguide should have more oversight on this, and reading some reviews, on the accuracy of description of the tours. Edited

I was frustrated that the price went up significantly when I got to the check out page. And I had to download 2 different apps (VoiceMap & Get Your Guide) AND create accounts with both and check my email in order to access the audio tour. The narrator was easy to understand and the navigation was pretty clear. I liked the automatic stop and start based on location. I would've enjoyed more variety, like sound effects or quotes read by different voice actors.

Terrible service. Explore other apps/ options. I booked a ticket 1.5 hours before the reservation. The booking went through, and my credit card was charged, but I never received the ticket, even after spending 30 minutes with customer support. I ended up buying a last-minute ticket at the counter at a premium price. Very disappointing experience.

My wife and I have used other booking apps or booking websites and loved the convenience, especially when traveling abroad. The idea of such an app is to minimize waste by eliminating the need to print out a ticket. Unfortunately, our experience could not have been more unpleasant with this app. We booked through the app and had a barcode, but were still expected to print out the reservation confirmation at home, then bring it to a booth to redeem it for paper tickets. How is that eco-friendly?
