I signed up for the AI trial and Google placed it under my Google One app. I've wasted hours trying to cancel the AI trial, but doing so will also unsubscribe me from my storage in Google One. I can't find a usable way to get help. When I try, most of the pop up is off of my screen. My display setting is for 100%. Extremely wasteful of my time and very frustrating!

It's interesting. This app, the more I use it, I hate it. And it's not necessarily the AI, which is terrible, by the way. But the app itself is god-awful. And each excessive update brings new features that make it even worse. Like now, I cannot use speech to text to input a prompt anymore without having to hear the AI continuously talking back to me. I pause it or stop the prompt. It stops but starts talking again when I tap mic for stt.

The app itself is glitching lately; it's been skipping to a new chat and forgetting everything. Sometimes I can tell it to remember what we were just talking about, and it will get back to the subject. Other times, the chat is completely gone, and there is no memory of the chat left in the list. Reaction times have gone from normal response times to wondering if my phone is frozen in the last few weeks. There are times I almost reached a conclusion, but I can't get any further due to glitches.

Overall it's a pretty good alternative to the Google Assistant. I didn't switch over until recently, because too many Assistant functions hadn't been ported over yet. My one major complaint is that seemingly no part of the Gemini Assistant is stored on the device. It would be nice if the basic utilities, like setting a timer, didn't require Internet. (why do I have 256 gb anyway?) My Internet is spotty at times, and it'd be nice if that didn't completely cripple the assistant for basic function

It's Monday. I needed to set an alarm for Wednesday morning. I asked Gemini to do it and it confidently told me the alarm was set for Wednesday. I checked my alarms... it set them all for Tuesday. I'm pretty sure Google Assistant could have handled that. I ask it for a list of restaurants near by. It gives me 3, in prose, 1 of which is 20 miles away. Assistant gave me search results that I could peruse at my leisure, all nearby. I keep trying to like it. But its a downgrade from the old one
