For some reason, after 2 years of not having a problem, and more than a week after my last Android update, my "home" button stopped responding when using Auto Tools as my Launcher. I see that other people have been having problems with this over the last couple years, and I'm not sure why I suddenly won the lottery. Samsung Z Fold 2, using AutoTools to switch between Microsoft and Nova Launchers.

Excellent app, a must have if you are a tasker user. The dev is very good in responding w updates, Android changes, and ROM upgrades in keeping AT updated. The tutorials are helpful plus tons of 3rd party tutorials to help. Yes a bit of learning curve, but with that comes great automation. If you like tasker, you will love this plugin!

Granting file permissions doesn't work. Whether I select a folder higher in the directory tree, or the target file's own containing folder, everytime I run the task again it's as if it never got granted (or else, AutoTools doesn't properly check it now has permission to the file). Re-installing doesn't help. I've resorted to installing a prior version (targetting a lower SDK level), along with taking care to avoid applying any updates the Play Store suggests for it. Edited

Long term Tasker user, I recently needed to install AutoTools for a small project I was working on. I didn't bother with using the trial version. I have no hesitation in purchasing any app I need from joaomgcd. Everything I have used from them is in a word: Brilliant. Due to my stupid phone with it's customised version of Android, I had some trouble getting the permissions correct. The support I received was amazing, and the issue was resolved fast. To be clear, the problem was my phones limitation, not the apps. But I received stellar support regardless. 10 out of 5 stars from me.

I very like these Auto* Tasker apps, but since I have a Samsung phone with Android 15, I have issues: #1 List views shows shows only the AutoTool's own icon, instead of the specified by a list of paths. (this worked on Android 12) #2 UI elements can't be shown on Samsung DEX.
