I don't know why I didn't discover this sooner. I mean I've heard about power amp for many years now but I've had so many different audio players and I I'm a HiFi enthusiast. this player is great. the thing keeping me from making it 5 stars is that I don't like that the track information is obscuring the album art. it would be nice if the track, title and song information was right above the play are controls instead of covering the album art. besides that, very nice. keep up the good work.

Thanks for the great feedback! To move or hide the track info over album art, go to Settings > Look and Feel > Skin and adjust Track Info Position or try a skin that places text below the controls. Your suggestion is noted for future UI updates!

Definitely one of the best if not the best music player you can get for your phone. the options on audio control are next level, along with that preset function to mimic different headphones throughout the industry. (don't know where you got that data, but awesome implementation) This can be a simple plug and play player, but if you're into tweaking out your audio, this is definitely the app for you! the lists of possibilities are too massive to list so check it out for yourself.

Should be the default music app; I can't believe Samsung or Google hasn't bought it! I've been using Poweramp for 11 years, except for the short period of time it wasn't updated and stopped working on new devices. I've found nothing better and can't imagine how it could be any better. Beautiful interface, options beyond compare, surprisingly simple to use. So many advanced features and it just WORKS! JRiver for PC, PA for Android. Don't ever go away again, it was like going through a divorce. Edited

Working ... no ... FAILing yet again after uninstalling PowerAmp Unlocker. For years PowerAmp, the paid version, was the music app I used all day, every day. Suddenly it began to stop playing every 2 - 5 tracks, frozen. After >2mos with only a pro-forma response to a support request, I'd pretty well given up ... Then I saw the advice here and successfully used it. 2mos later, following an Android update, PowerAmp again stopped each 2 - 5 songs; fixed ... 3wks later, hanging again. Probably done. Edited

App is killed by background "optimizer", to fix: long press Poweramp icon / (i) / Battery / Unrestricted - CHECK. If you have Poweramp Unlocker, do this for the Unlocker app too (or uninstall Unlocker - you can always reinstall it for free if purchased). More details: https://dontkillmyapp.com

Great Music App that I've used for quite awhile but, using it with Android Auto has a minor issue in my car. I have a Mazda CX5 and when I first turn the audio system on Poweramp starts and sounds fine. When I switch my car's display to Android Auto (which then shows maps & Poweramp on the screen), the volume drops a few db. Could not find a setting for that. I tried Musicolet for awhile and that did not happen. I still like Poweramp better and continue to use it since it's a minor issue.

You can try to disable DVC (direct volume control) temporarily in Poweramp settings and check if that helps. Thanks!
