I updated the app today and found out it requires "All files access" permission to play music, wth. This is a very suspicious move developer. Are you attempting to steal users' data? The older versions don't have this invasive permission and they worked fine. Only apps that need this permission are security apps, all others is a NO. I also noticed it added 2 ads permissions too. I paid for premium which should never have those. How do I revert back to my previous version? Downgrade to 2 stars! Edited

Finally! An off-line and Android Auto Music player that displays Artist thumbs (and allows custom thumbs), Album Art, and lists both of them alphabetically for Artists and by release date for Albums. Also, if a song was interrupted by disconnecting for any reason it pops up in the smaller right-hand AA window ready to resume. Why is any of that so difficult for the other music app developers?

Best local music player I could find after a long search. And it's ad-free! The developers are friendly and helpful. Just a great, great app! EDIT: Something changed, and now the player takes several seconds to skip a song, the sound is different, and it sometimes cuts out or pauses the current song. Sad day. Not sure what happened, but the king of Android players for years has now become unusable on my S22 Ultra. Edited

This app is great! But since greatness is relative I will explain why I love it. This is ideal for people who still like digitizing their own music collection and want a slick, simple, free, and Ad-free listening experience on their mobile phone. The ux is good and clean. Does a good job of automatically finding album artwork. Has options for sorting by album, artist, etc. Negatives? No EQ functions without buying premium and I had to manually edit song data for a few misplaced album tracks.

For as big as Google is you think they would keep around the things that so many people use every day. This app is a fantastic app as a replacement and a stand alone. Does everything I want and almost everything I need. Still trying to figure out if and when I can tell Alexa to play my playlists on the app. Maybe I can or can't. Don't know yet. Kudos to the developers. I purchased the premium to support them. Low price for the option as well. Great job. Edited
