it does exactly the thing I bought it for (manage SFTP on a mobile device). You can set it up to use a text editing app of your choice for quick remote changes (I use Acode). copy and paste is a little weird but it works fine once you get used to its "queue" system.

Amazing file manager but starting to think it's abandoned. Very frustrating to use when almost every time I leave it for more than a few minutes, when I switch back my tabs are gone. No response from dev when contacting them about this & some other issues. Previous emails were answered promptly and thoroughly, so not sure what's going on now. I do still recommend it but with the caveat that there appears to be no support anymore and it may not get more updates. Edit: now failing to delete files. Edited

have been using for six years, it's the best and nothing comes close; has every feature imaginable for all kinds of file management, and looks nice on top. but as of today it suddenly cannot access my files in /Android/Data, it just asks for permission to use the folder and then tells me I can't grant permission to use the folder. please fix 🙏 Edited

Excellent effort on MiXplorer! It's hard to find any Android app that is as comprehensive enough for any need. After becoming overflow for my PC, 300k+ pics and 20k+ vids needed managed & transferred. For 3+ months, I tested 75+ apps looking for an efficient & productive means. All-in-one, highly customizable MiXplorer will replace file managers, photo galleries, archive extractors, media players, cloud storage apps, and more hidden in every menu. Use on my TV, too. Wish there was a PC version!

Was looking for an alternative to ES Explorer after the last fiasco and was very pleased with this app! It allows you to customize a lot of how you want this app to be. From the themes to the ability to modify what shows up on each buttons. You can also transfer files easily thru either servers (TCP and FTP) or thru online storages (ie. Dropbox and Onedrive). Best of all? This app is free! But if you want to support the dev (which you should) or get easy update then I recommend paying a bit. Edited
