Too much fluff, too little news. Even worse than the previous version. No option to turn off opening animation or adjust text size. Poorly organized. Articles repeat in app. No updates on holidays and long weekends. Too many "contests," surveys and station-promoting fluff. I used this app to check the local news when I'm out of town, and it's become almost useless.

This app is a huge disappointment. No matter what I did it would not send the desired notifications. It would not even let me star items of interest. I installed and uninstalled multiple times. I can view articles on the app but no notifications. No breaking news, nothing. I have this app on my iPad and it is fine. Obviously the android version is the problem.

Hard to tell ads from news. Sometimes goes for days without refreshing content. Text is so poorly edited at times it is hard to figure out the intended meaning. On the plus side, the content is hyper local and relevant.

Pretty good app for getting SD news. The only issues is that their audio levels are much lower than everything else, including interstitials. The mismatch in audio levels have been like this for years.

CBS News 8 has taken it up a notch, to a new level of local news excellence. And boy does it show! A series of exciting new hires has fueled the improvement, while tried and true features like "Verify" and "The Zevely Zone" continue to be very compelling. John Howard's revamped Sports Department is now the best in the market, and their Weather forecasting has always been number one! I'd say News 8 is great...and they've toppled 10 News as a result.
