So so...am using this app in conjunction with their LED light pad. Most slides scanned OK, but there were frequent problems where the scans were totally blurred (any picture that was blurred remained blurred in multiple attempts to re-scan). Same problem with color accuracy, where, for example, violet and light blue wild flowers scanned as almost black and white. Problematic results, particularly if you are archiving lots of slides.

Pros: the auto cropping is very good, color rendering is pretty good. There is a 3-day trial period. Cons: Focusing is entirely manual, by moving a slide back and forth in front of the phone camera. It's very hard to see the proper focus manually on a 35 mm slide. The only way to really look at your results is to go through a number of steps, which gets old with multiple slides. It's hard to control flares from light sources. There's little exposure adjustment. The results are simply too poor.

Hold the slide 2 inches (5 cm) away from the computer screen so that there is no transfer onto the scan. Please reach out to

Nice idea. Poor results. I thought this may be a good way to scan old family slides. However, the scanned images are not nearly as sharp as the originals. Also, the light from the white screen shines so brightly on the back of my phone that it reflects onto the the slide being captured--not good. Don't be like me and waste $30 on a one-year subscription. I should have tested the app by subscribing to the monthly plan.

Thank you for reaching out. Hold the image 2 inches (5 cm) away from the computer screen so that there is no transfer onto the scan and the camera 4 inches (10cm) away from the slide. Please reach out to us at
[email protected] for more scanning tips and let us know if you have any other questions.

The app worked quite well with slides that had plenty of natural light but didn't work with slides that included shadows or poorer light. I paid for a month's subscription but won't be extending. The Kodak app, which is free, worked much better, but still not great. A good idea, but probably requires something that is more fit for purpose for useful results.

DON'T USE THIS APP. This app is a total rip off ! It lures you with a 3 day free trial, but after the first time you use it, you have to subscribe for $29.95 to do anything more like save or send the photos. It also did a terrible job reproducing my slides, they were all out of focus an blurry. Not one slide came out right. Also it makes it impossible to opt out or unsubscribe. Horrible way of doing business. Edited
