This app does become a free to talk and text for free , as it states in the description of the app and all of the bells and whistles, also at the end of it describing everything that seems so fantastic and free. It also says to upgrade to the apps plus premium account for better use of this app. But after I opened it up to begin everything that you guys ask anyone to do for permission settings/ it says;( But wait there's more to do before you can use it, you can't skip the page that says that to

My phone almost never rings when I get a call on my number, then when it does ring, it's like a half second long before kicking into voicemail. As you can imagine, super annoying. Oh, and it doesn't let you port numbers out, kinda ridiculous. These fixes would definitely land 5 stars and me telling everyone about this app across all social media...

You cannot call out you can't text and think the other party received the text it's too much of a hassle. Update, I deleted this app! I don't have enough time in my day for dropped calls, calling out to a certain number phone lines cross and you end up asking to speak to someone who isn't who your call was supposed to go to. Dropped calls, static etc. No thanks Edited

2/25 5th review update. If you are interested in good phone service that only needs a wifi connection, and customer service that actually helps you, GET THIS APP NOW! Forget the other ones, TextFree has better customer service than any of them and that's gold. Trust me. I've used this for 8yrs and haven't paid "Big Business" jerks one penny to not fix my problem. Pay for the premium plan it's less than 10% of yours and you never have to die trying to text and drive. Right? Right. BE THE CHANGE Edited

I was sad at the thought of losing my phone when I switched to another carrier. Then I discovered Text...free (is this text free I'm reviewing?) and now I can use my phone again as long as I have an internet connection! No really, it's cool, the only markdown is because of the overwhelming numbers of ads that sometimes you can't even seem to navigate out of. That irks me.
