APP AGAIN IS UNSTABLE!! NOW IT DOESNT RECOGNIZE MY ACCOUNT LOG IN!!! Editing review: I have reset the Carista OBD2 module by pulling it out and putting it back in. It appears to be workiing fine now. I have requested some time ago that you make the font for the TPMS reading a little bigger. The screeen has plenty of room on it but the vital numbers, the actual Tire Pressure are so small I need to take the phone out of it's cradle to read it. Every other useless font is big enough to read. Edited

Thanks for reaching out, and we're sorry to hear about the trouble. The login issues you experienced earlier were due to a temporary outage with Google Cloud’s IAM service, which affected authentication across many services, including ours. The incident has now been resolved, and everything should be back up and running smoothly.

I realized I was a bit too harsh with my original review. So I am editing it, the app works just fine, the rating is reflective of their pricing strategy. I deal with Chinese manufacturers of similar things every day. Even with the tariffs, they are making a good bit of dough selling you a 60$ OBD2 dongle. This is fine I guess, because it does give you very limited ability to change a couple of options. The subscription is WAY overpriced and not worth it with no lifetime access option. Edited

Thanks for the feedback! Our adapter isn’t a generic $5 device—it’s custom-built for secure, high-speed communication with modern vehicles. The subscription supports ongoing updates and new features. For advanced diagnostics and customizations, Carista offers a complete, reliable solution. All OBD2 features do not require a subscription.

forced login before I can test to see if it's worth signing up for. Then they lied to me, saying that I can still check compatibility and run a basic scan. The login screen is the very first thing that happens when I activate the app. Do not pass go, do not check compatibility, nothing. Like I said, forced login. If I knew how to block a developer from ever showing up on my searches, this would be one of them. Edited

The app itself is good. A well made product. It's a little misleading as far as the functionality as it does not exactly tell you if it's "really" available to you or not. Until you find out that it's not compatible with your car. At least there's a trial but I would be ticked off if you had to buy their OBD2 and go through the hassle of finding out that not all functionality they list aren't 100% accurate. It's more of a shortcut to already available features is all...so I canceled my trial.

I've had this app installed on my phone for years. When I first installed it I remember making changes to my Toyota for free. The next time I tried the app it required a purchase. No problem. I buy almost every app I use. Figured I would buy next I used. Price doubled. Starting saving my Play balance. Price doubled. It was up to $20 last time I checked. Expensive, but still on my list. Opened today to buy...$40 a year. Yikes. My fault for waiting, but wow. Insane. $10 one time also insane. Uninstalled.

Thanks for your feedback. Our history: we launched in early 2014 with an introductory price of $10; a few months later, we stopped the introductory pricing and went to $20. In July 2016, we switched to offering 2 options: $10 for a 1-week pass or $40/year as a subscription. Sounds like if you only need it ~once a year, the 1-week pass is for you.
