I have been using the Roku smart home features for approximately a year and a half and I've had nothing but trouble. things will be working just fine then all the sudden you can't turn lights on and off or access the camera. notifications don't come through sometimes and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app so many times it's ridiculous. when everything works, it is a wonderful app. however, there's too many times that the app fails. frequently the app will log itself out unexpectedly. ive had my inside and outside camera for about a year now. everything was working fine. all of the sudden the motion detection just stopped alerting. I have unplugged it, reconnected it to the WiFi, etc. it still will not alert me. what good is a front door camera if it doesn't let you know of potential dangers? I have emailed them about this and never get a response! I don't recommend buying! we are looking for a different brand now. Edited

Cameras work fine. I can see them, they load just fine. I have a bulb and plug i can't connect to at all. My wife has a different phone and can control them just fine. As others have stated, I had to uninstall and reinstall the app just to get it to work, yet here I am 24 hours later with the same issue. If there's an update for the s24 ultra to fix this problem, please push it. On the verge of scrubbing roku altogether.

If you are considering buying something that uses this app, don't!! I have two light bulbs and at first they worked great! Now, every other time I want to use the app to adjust the color or brightness or turn them on or off the app 'fails to connect.' To fix this issue I have to uninstall the app, reinstall it, wait for an activation code to be sent to my phone and then enter the code. Additionally, I had to wait thirty minutes to connect with customer service to talk to someone.

the past few months have been nothing but problems. every couple of days my settings are being changed even though I'm not changing them which in turn makes my app only record events and then I can't view my live feed that I'm paying for... oh and it won't allow you to report the problem in the app. if this doesn't get fixed soon I will be switching to a different service
